DAI NAMED TO 2011 INC. 500|5000 LIST OF FASTEST-GROWING COMPANIES
ALEXANDRIA, Va. – DAI has been named to Inc. magazine’s 2011 Inc. 500|5000 list, an annual ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. This is the second year in a row DAI has been included on the list, which represents the most comprehensive look at a vital segment of the economy—America’s independent entrepreneurs. The list ranks companies according to percentage of revenue growth over a period of three years. DAI, increasingly sought after for expertise in human capital, learning, communications and event management, achieved a 199 percent growth rate between 2007 and 2010.
“It’s been an incredible few years for us,” said DAI President and CEO, Dr. Sherilyne Dougherty. “We're proud to be included on the list again and thankful to our great employee team for being key to this growth."
The companies included on the list, which Inc. magazine refers to as the "engines of the economy," created 370,592 jobs in the last three years. Median growth rate of 2011 Inc. 500|5000 companies remains an impressive 94 percent, and aggregate revenue among the honorees reached $366 billion, up 14 percent from last year. The Government Services sector placed second on the list for fastest-growing industries, showing a 173.8 percent median growth rate.
In addition to revenue growth, companies named to the list had to be United States-based, privately held, for profit, and independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies.
