Department of Justice (DoJ)
Office of Justice Programs (OJP)
The Office of Justice Programs (OJP) faced an immediate need to educate its workforce on grant management procedures. This rapid-turnaround project not only proved vital in bringing Department of Justice (DoJ) personnel up-to-speed on grant management matters, but also on customer service standards and procedures. At the same time, it provided interactive resources for ongoing staff development that OJP could employ for years to come.
Among our specific contributions to the initiative, the DAI team:
- Assessed staff development needs, program goals and content requirements through focus groups and individual reviews
- Created a comprehensive training plan
- Developed training curricula and supporting online components
- Pilot-tested the program
- Delivered the training in 20 full-day sessions
- Integrated the interactive program into the client’s regular orientation for new staff members
- Crafted a train-the-trainer curriculum
- Provided one-on-one participant support as needed
Similar to other DAI Learning Solutions initiatives, we applied our Learning Plus™ methodology to guide our development processes and procedures.
