Southern-style slow cooker creamed corn

Corn chowder

There’s nothing better than a bowl of this hearty Southern-style creamed corn on a cozy winter night. This recipe was passed down to me by my grandmother and has been a family favorite for as long as I can remember.


  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 5 cups frozen sweet corn


  • Mix all ingredients in a slow cooker
  • Set on low and cook 4-5 hours
  • Stir occasionally to combine all ingredients evenly
